I am also here in California and a volunteer at a shelter for the homeless. I agree with all the organizations that I mentioned and know that in most places not only help familiarize families with children, especially women. It is even harder for single parents and children find help, the homeless will be even more difficult for those with children over 10, especially with children, because they are young, are problematic.

The shelter I volunteer is not really a "refuge", but in reality a transitional program for homeless people. The brochures will join the "family". But they also enable couples and individuals as well. We are a program that will offer to rent a 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment for free for 90 days. You have to work or actively seeking work. Your turn, provide your content to us and in a trust fund able to be returned after 90 days for you as a down payment on your own website to use. They also offer bags with food and clothing, have after-school program for children and Offe,s advice and legal advice. After 90 days, if they have vacancies, you can transition into their program year or longer to help you, other suitable locations.

You did not mention, in the county I am in San Bernardino County and am familiar with organizations such as ours, which accepts people without children. The only difference between the two is that you have a roommate in a 2-bedroom apartment have. And, of course, only two women together, and vice versa.

The only drawback I can say with certainty that it is not always openings. For us, every 3 months or, if it accepted applications. This is just one days and you're out of luck if it does not already exist. Thus, almost daily call to check availability, make sure not to miss.

If you can in San Bernardino County, contact me via my profile and I would be more than happy to give all the information and phone numbers, you can, including the two that I mentioned.

You can also try calling 211th It is free from any telephone. It is to be read in conjunction with United Way and provide recommendations for accommodation, food, clothing, etc. in your area.

Hope this helps a little.
GOOD LUCK!
